CLEARLINK Sponsors Program Pairing Entrepreneurs with Nonprofits

CLEARLINK sponsors the first Social Innovation Challenge to provide nonprofits access to 40 of Utah?s most talented entrepreneurs, helping them get back on track.

Salt Lake City, December 07, 2010 - CLEARLINK Technologies, a Utah-based sales and marketing company, served as the key sponsor for the Community Foundation?s very first Social Innovation Challenge today.

The challenge was the first of its kind, pairing business professionals with nonprofit organizations in an effort to tackle some of the most threatening problems for NFPs, like shrinking community support and long-term planning. The challenge enabled nonprofit groups to work with 40 of the state?s brightest entrepreneurial minds, as well as 12 graduate students from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University.

As donations to many of the state?s nonprofits continue to decline, the challenge was a welcomed opportunity for many who were close to closing doors. Thirty organizations applied for the challenge and six were selected. Equipped with $1,000 and six mentors, each organization was given three months to develop a sustainable solution to their problem that could easily be modeled by other organizations.

Earlier today at the Mountain America Credit Union Tanner Building each organization?s group presented the results of their work to a panel of entrepreneurs and business leaders, including CLEARLINK Chief Culture Officer, Mauri Love. Salt Lake CAP Head Start was announced the winner of the challenge for the measurable success of their rebranding efforts.

CLEARLINK is proud to support the challenge and hopes to see more like it develop over the next few years.
